Life in Retrospect

(Because life recorded in retrospect has gotta be better than life not recorded at all?)

This is another glorious day out at Whroo (8/4/07). The turnout was quite impressive, meaning you couldn't talk to people on the opposite side of the fire from you cos they were too far away....

(What child is that?)

(Kids will be kids- and everyone else closes their eyes)

(Pete won't say no to a sausage)

Cats and Borscht

Bella, very unimpressed, having come in for the night after she had obviously been hiding under the house. Note the dandelions stuck to her face amidst the cobwebs, especially the one hanging inside her left ear.....

Georgie cat, the hanger-on, who likes to sleep in this spot in the sun. Sometimes I think the poor thing has senile dementia. So I try to be especially nice to him (except he can attack without warning, so you gotta be careful! ;))

I think there's something very special about borscht. Maybe it's because it's purple. Love it with sour cream.....

The moon was a ghostly galleon, tossed upon cloudy seas......

(One of my favourite subjects, as always)

Better Homes and Gardens - (the sez and pete edition)

First we have: What not to grow in your garden??

(Can anybody identify this alien plant life? It had weird red seed stuff inside and we think it came from the paddock next door..........)

Next up: Pumpkin - The Versatile Vegetable (and oh so easy to grow)

This was actually the second one I picked from my magnificent pumpkin patch. It was bigger than the first one :)

Now we have: Some Sweet Feats of the Kitchen

(I believe you would call it a Butterscotch and Walnut Pullapart)

Leisure segment: Battleships - A Game for the Modern Family

(I didn't win)
